JobShifu Terms of Service

The short version. JobShifu helps you tailor resumes, find jobs, and fill out applications faster. It's an assistant, not an autopilot: you review and approve what it produces, and you're responsible for what you submit to employers. We can't guarantee you a job or an interview. Be honest, follow the law and the sites you apply on, and pay for the plan you use. You can cancel any time.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] ("JobShifu", "we", "us"). By creating an account, installing the browser extension, or using the JobShifu website or apps (together, the "Service"), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. 1. Who can use JobShifu

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. You may use the Service only for your own job search, and you're responsible for everything that happens under your account.

6. Your content

You keep ownership of the resumes, work history, answers, documents, and other career information you put into JobShifu ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store and process Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service for you, as described in the Privacy Policy. To power AI features, relevant parts of Your Content are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) as a service provider. We do not claim ownership of Your Content, and you can erase it at any time (Settings → "Erase all data").

7. Third-party services and sites

The Service links to and interacts with third-party websites, job boards, applicant-tracking systems, and providers (including Supabase, Anthropic, Stripe, Apple, and Google). We don't control those services and aren't responsible for their content, availability, or practices; your use of them is governed by their terms.

8. Our intellectual property

The Service — including its software, design, and content we create — is owned by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service under these Terms. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its output will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any application. You use AI-generated content at your own discretion and risk.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JOBSHIFU AND ITS SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOST OPPORTUNITIES, JOBS, PROFITS, OR DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR USD $50. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] from claims and expenses arising out of your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or content you submit to employers through the Service, to the extent permitted by law.

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity) survive termination.

We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we'll notify you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of [GOVERNING LAW — e.g., State of Delaware, USA], without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
